Meteor for 121GW 0.2

Meteor is an independent third-party application designed for use with the EEVBlog 121GW Bluetooth-LE multimeter. This app provides functionalities similar to the original EEVBlog app while introducing new features that enhance user experience:

• Control buttons are accessible in landscape mode.
• Spoken measurements can be enabled using the iOS voice synthesizer.
• An option for a continuity buzzer is available.
• A dark mode for aesthetic preference.
• A connect/disconnect button along with disconnect-status labels is incorporated.

However, it is worth noting that some features found in the EEVBlog app are not yet available in Meteor:

• Support for multiple meters is currently missing.
• There is no dedicated math mode for multiple meters.

Meteor is currently in public beta, aimed at gathering extensive feedback and testing from users of the 121GW multimeter. While the beta version has been optimized to minimize bugs, potential users should be cautious when relying on it for critical applications until the official version 1.0 is released.

Upon launching the app, users will see a screen displaying any nearby advertising 121GW meters. Alternatively, by tapping and holding the meter icon located at the bottom-left of the main interface, users can access the meter-scan page, which is also available through the app menu accessed from the bottom-right corner of the screen.

When connected to a meter, the meter icon at the bottom-left will turn blue. If readings are not being displayed, users should first tap the meter button once to disconnect before attempting to reconnect by pressing it again.

For individuals who frequently switch between an iPhone and iPad or alternate between two phones, it may be beneficial to reset the connection by turning off and then on the meter itself, or toggling its Bluetooth settings.
